Taking hours to load
When i join a world with distant horizons installed, it says 350,000 chunks left, 8h left. and it lags my game alot.
im using a laptop with 16gb ram, amd cpu, and amd integrated graphics

If you want it to load faster

World generation in general is quite slow, if you want to speed it up:
Install Noisium, Lithium and C2ME(DH 2.3.0+). These mods can improve generation speed by a bit, but it will still not be fast.
Increase
CPU Load in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive settings of CPU Load. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering and Show World Gen Queue to True.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)If you want the game to lag less, install the mods from the message above, but decrease the CPU load preset
how do i decrease the cpu load preset

i have had the same issue these past days, the chunks load at a speed of 11 cps
its bad
it felt throttled
it still lags alot and says 8h or more
but when i ran their bench mark it says it loads at 80 chunks per second
i think other mod are whats throttling distant horizons
right now am loading the chunks on my laptop like a server and will transfer the files to a client

DH just keeps trying to load them from scratch
at really bad speeds
i think the mod has a major issue with laptops, as we are not the only ones to face this major issue
