Have you tried downloading a fresh ISO and verifying its hash? Also, have you tried using a different USB drive for booting the system?
Usually, when I encounter a similar issue, it’s due to the USB drive itself. To confirm this, I try booting the same USB on another computer—if it boots correctly, then the problem is likely with the original computer, but if it still fails, then the USB drive is likely the issue.
The usb works perfectly fine
I used it to install Mint on another pc
Did you try booting the Bazzite USB on another computer to see if the same issue happens?
Sometimes, writing the Bazzite ISO to a USB drive might require a different method or tool. Personally, I use Ventoy and it works well for me.
I used Ventoy
It has both mint and bazzite
It keeps freezing
Can you explain exactly when the freeze happens during the boot or setup process?
Also, have you tried using something other than Ventoy, like Fedora Media Writer, to create the USB?
It might help narrow down whether the issue is with Ventoy or the ISO itself.
Hi there, I have the same issue. I've used Ventoy to install Ubuntu/Debian based ISOs without much issue, but both bazzite and Silverblue I have struggled with using this method. I'll look into this other method, or I'll try reinstalling Ventoy first
(My install has been frozen for 16h)
Amusingly, after trying to hard reset it after this, my motherboard keeps turning on and off every second.
CPU: i3 8100
Peculiar question, would the Ventoy installer affect the motherboard at all? As I have attempted this on other hardware with the exact same results
(Also for OP, I found this article;
https://www.reddit.com/r/Fedora/comments/11r7gi8/fedora_media_check_fails_at_48_every_time_during/ this doesn't apply to me so much as I'm installing onto a wiped SSD)
