Why does the sky change color during this jump?
At 0:19 we see an upward angle of blackness.
At 2:06 during the spinning of the fall the blackness is still there.
At 2:56 the blackness goes away, and it's replaced by the familiar blue.

From repeated interactions I've learned the understanding is that it's air all the way up and outer space isn't real.
What is causing the color difference at high altitude?

black but no stars why ?
the blue color of the sky is due to the air scattering the sunlight.
if there is less air, you would also have less scattering and thus no color.
during the jump he's going from almost no air to normal air.
so at some point he's in the middle of the air and it's all blue.
