not sure what you're talking about, that's probably a community server feature if it's something you saw in game chat

In which case you either type it in the in game chat or in their server
I’m assuming you mean connecting your steam account to the bbc server, in which case you would paste it into the game chat
official doesn’t have claim, only community does in which case yeah, for both bbc and e4gl it has to be done in game on one of our respective servers.
