Bad Game Performance on Linux (Fedora 42) with both Vanilla and tMod

I play Terraria on a laptop that should easily be able to run it (Ryzen 5 4500U, Vega 6 iGPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM and SSD), however the game slows down randomly, more often than it really should. My CPU and GPU usage also don't get close to maxing out while playing the game which is odd (stays at around 30-40% ish). I can't tell if its a windowing system thing (I use GNOME 48 with Wayland) or just terraria being shite or some other thing i am completely missing. I'd appreciate any help, thanks.

You can try opengl or vulkan https://github.com/tModLoader/tModLoader/wiki/Basic-tModLoader-Usage-FAQ#low-fps But low cpu usage is expected, the game is mostly single threaded so it can only max out 1 core

thanks, i really appreciate it! ill try both and see the difference using vulkan fixed it, i now get a stable 60fps even in 'intensive' parts
