What exactly counts as "invalid reaction"?

remove-invalid-reactions: true, what exactly counts as invalid?
For example, I noticed the following behaviour the first time today: when a message contains a channel-# (#github-log for example), the set starboard emoji is automatically removed immediately after reacting to such an message with it. Is that because of that option?4 Replies

It has nothing to do with that. It's because you're starring your own messages
Ahh, ok. I was confused because the bot didn't had manage messages permissions for a long time, so I never observed it. The self hosted one has admin perms
