Adaptation's Fit Checkup

this is my alternative to putting feedback reccomended on my posts and never getting feedback. gonna do one of these every so often to get thoughts questions feelings on what i've been up to lately. feel free to dump as much crit or glaze as you feel is appropriate based on our relationship and if you know me go completely ham.

Stuff I like
a lot of my newest additions (beater leather bag, thrifted db, big white pants) have slotted in nicely without dominating the outfits- i think i'm getting a lot better at identifying good complimentary pieces for my stuff which is good because i historically only buy outfit-defining pieces and support them okayish
doesnt show up that much in these photos but the ring collection has continued to grow and is goated
i'm able to hit a lot more notes that i want to hit with my darkwear stuff- i really love my Romantic tailoring riffs and i think i've been able to hit that niche consistently and in a way i'm pretty happy with, and i'm able to actually do stuff that resembles my inspo which brings me a lot of joy
Stuff i'm unhappy with
i functionally only own one pair of pants- the totokalekos are just way better and more versatile than anything else ive got, which both makes my darkwear stuff feel a little sameier than i want and also limits my shoe choices (they dont have belt loops so i gotta just wear my cowboy boots and try not to put too much heel bite into my only pair of pants- i keep running into this trying to bring the balenci derbies into fits)
lack of neckwear/bracelets- i lost two bracelets this spring (including my only one that also looked good around my neck because every necklace is a bracelet) and have not done a great job of filling either of those niches
lack of range- i want to (and try to) also do other stuff outside of darkwear but i feel like i dont know that side of myself that well. mostly just wip
