Freenote Cloth Deck Pants - Too Big or Just Right?

Just picked up the Freenote Cloth Deck Pants in size 34. I’m looking for a clean, well-made chino with a straight fit—something roomy enough for thick thighs without looking overly baggy.
These definitely feel comfortable, but I’m wondering if they might be too roomy, especially in the waist and upper thigh. Thinking about trying a size down, but I’m not sure if that would compromise the fit I’m looking for.
Photos attached—would love any thoughts on the sizing. Stick with these or size down to a 33?
