new update broke gamescope again

I faced the same issue. First thing I tried was to install the 23.08 gamescope from flatpak cli (cause they moved back from 24.08 to 23). This re-enables the gamescope options, but games don't render in Steam mode (I'm on steamdeck). Ultimately I decided to revert back to the older 2.17.2 heroic version and things been fine again.
