Ive been trying to fix this for 6 hours already, I need HELP!!
I have been watching tutorials after tutorials, I even tried chatgpt and it didnt help much. For some reason its still not recognising anything.

Same thing as the pictures I first gave
Oh I thought you searched it. Nvm
Exit bios
Let’s update bios
Might already be updated-
Its on the newest bios update
Is there anything else I can do or not really?
Aside from getting a newer motherboard? Nope.
I just bought the motherboard. Its a Gigabyte B850 Wifi6e
Oh that’s odd
Could be that tpm is missing or you got a faulty board, did you get it from amazon?
Bought it from the store
Tpm could be missing
Yeah just took a peek online, apparently it comes without a tpm chip but has a header for one
So your options are
DIY your motherboard
Get a new motherboard with tpm
From what I understand anyway
Is there a pic on how it looks?
Reflash the bios update
fTPM comes from CPU (which is needed for valorant)
dTPM chips don’t work with Val
How do I do that?
Here’s what I got online :sokkashrug:

No
It will not work
Ah that is uhhh annoying
I could not find fTPM
They very recently stopped support for dTPM
Hit send before you said it won’t work mb
It’s all good
https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B850-EAGLE-WIFI6E-rev-1x/support
go here, click on bios and download the latest version
ive downloaded it, now what?
Using gigabyte control centre I do not recommend, I’ve got a gigabyte board and the app is poopooshit, screwed up all my updates, had to do everything manually 😭
im only downloading bios tho XD
Yeah uh my advice in general would be don’t use their app for that
okay, bet XD
Anyway, you got a usb drive?
You’re gonna need an empty usb drive
okay
You’re going to want to “format” the drive so it’s FAT32
And extract whatever is in the zip folder that you downloaded off the gigabyte website
The usb drive, not your C: drive
That would be a horrible mistake
can I just do ctrl+A then delete the usb?
Then you are going to want to go into your bios settings, and select the flash option
Better to format it, want to be safe rather than sorry
If you need the contents of the drive remove them from the drive first
Anyway, since your board is a gigabyte one I am pretty sure your flash option should be “Q-Flash”
You just click on that when in bios, then select the usb you put the bios update in
Should have some instructions on your screen at that point, when you feel you are ready just start the update and keep your pc powered on
ill give an update, brb
playing roblox with my brother so might be slow on the replies but I am still here
Should I keep DMI Data?
nah
Its says its invalid for some reason
the installation?
send a pic
are you sure you got the files for the right board?
I got it from the link you guys gave
I'm thinking either you selected the wrong file, something went wrong when putting the files on your usb or you got the wrong download from the page icarus gave you
Got the most recent one
I took the zip file in the usb and opened it there, then I deleted the zip file
On the right did you select the bios file before clicking next
The download page doesnt seem wrong either, its the same place I installed mine
so I'm looking at the downloads page and your video, on the video it says f3, your motherboard latest version is f4
also yeah, did you select the bios file before proceeding on the update?
^
Ill try finding the f4 one
so you're getting "BIOS ID CHECK ERROR" which means that the update you are trying to flash into does not match the available versions for your board, so you might have nabbed the wrong files
@AC could you open up system information and send me a screenshot of System Manufacturer to System Model?
here's a screenshot of my stuff for reference

would make it easier to track down what board you have specifically
I uhh looked for "B850 WiFi6e" and got 28 product results
Gigabyte B850 Eagle Wifi6e
Ive completed the bios flash and it still says no device found

what cpu do you have?
tbh that shouldn't matter too much, if you go to Settings then Miscellaneous you should have either AMD CPU fTPM if you're rocking an AMD CPU or just Trusted Computing if you have whatever other brand is competing with AMD, I forget the name
not very big on hardware stuff :sokkashrug:

welp, you
Ryzen 7 9800 X3D
oh so Trusted Computing in BIOS, you'll also need secure boot enabled for valorant
So back to bios?
yep
first things first we need to find out if you can get cpu tmp or ftpm then we can take care of secure boot
so when you're in BIOS go Settings > Miscellaneous and look for "Trusted Computing"

This is what you wanted right? ^
yep
that should take care of your tpm problem
The ASP one?
leave it on auto
then save and exit
and you'll need to return for safe boot as well ;-;
Oke
T^T

oh wait I just noticed you went on trusted platform not trusted computing
so what do you want me to do now?
back to bios... this time go to TRUSTED COMPUTING, not TRUSTED PLATFORM
so one option lower
still in Settings > Misc
:D
T^T
yeah I am dying inside
lol
This is inside trusted computing

back to trusted platform we go
did some digging figured out where we went wrong
Whats next?

so turns out trusted computing is a placeholder, which tbh is a bit stupid
ASP fTPM
Then should I just save and exit?
make sure ASP fTPM is selected, then save and exit to check
yep
if that works we'll be one step closer to getting you able to play valorant

:Warstare:
Ima take out the power cord rq
okay
scratch that, tested the code on my pc did nothing other than vomit an error
when you boot your pc go to bios
I am thinking you might have CSM on which can screw with tpm settings
CSM is disabled
:val_KekwSob:
got any ideas of what else could be going wrong?
only other lead I've got is faulty hardware :/
Wheres that?
Bios, Boot > CSM Support
it might already be disabled as icarus said though
Yeah, its disabled
What exactly does it do?
backwards compatibility for older operating systems basically from what I know
tends to screw with newer features a lot
Hmm :/
ok can you go back to the tpm settings? check if you're on ftpm
also do you know if your bios is in user or setup mode?

I dont know that
show me your menu options
the ones at the top of the screen
User mode since secure boot is enabled
says here secure boot state is off
Ehh
Ahh
Updated bios
this is from AC's pc, probably saw my ss
:PWhere?

might be under boot
I genuinely do not remember :val_KekwSob:

go to secure boot

restore factory keys
save and exit
that should put you in user mode
It wont let me
Nevermind
I found out
alr
It’s unrelated to tpm tbh
true but doesn't help with secure boot which is also needed for valorant
yknow being in setup mode
Done
alrighty, honestly I'm not sure if that can or did fix tpm but I mean that should be 1/2 problems fixed at least, guess you could check and have some wishful thinking going :sokkashrug:

How about the expert key?
nono you just needed to reset to get out of setup mode
try booting into windows and checking, this might just be for the nonexistant chip
tbh this is just wishful thinking as I've no other ideas other than you have faulty hardware
Im about to cry myself back to sleep now

ok so I have one more idea, open cmd as admin and run
should give you smth like this

you're looking for "path" under windows boot loader

Found it
lovely, my message got filtered for having 2 things connected with a dot, anyway that is both great news and not so great news
Oh?
Im scared….
great news is that you don't have a legacy BIOS boot version
Okay….
bad news is that uhhh yeah you still can't run valorant lol
THIS IS A NIGHTMARE
NOOOOO
VAAAAALLLLL
what kind of storage are you using for your pc?
like ssd, hdd?
Ssd
Kingston ssd with nvme 4
ok, if you're not on admin cmd, go back on that and run then
reading here that there might be smth about disk formatting? tbh genuinely grasping at straws here :Spray_ThisIsFine:

Disk 3 is the usb on the back
ok so it's not disk formatting either
try going to windows settings > privacy and security > Security Processor Details
just go to settings and look for "Security Processor" in the search bar, if you have anything on that you should get a new window opening up

^
I have nothing but bad news
I am all out of ideas
Your PC refuses to detect TPM on everything, so it's either a faulty motherboard or your motherboard and CPU do not get along well enough to let you have fTPM active
and obviously we've exhaused all other possible leads I had on what the problem could be so I am genuinely at a loss and don't think I can help with this problem other than to recommend you test your hardware if you have an old pc that could accept your parts to test
from what I can tell you, it's a problem with motherboard, cpu or both at the same time and if it's motherboard it could also break your ram and gpu, had it happen to me when I got a faulty board for my first pc
my old pc is a laptop :/
oh welp that's fun
there might be a way to figure out exactly what part is causing problems for you but I am unsure if that would apply to you, when I was trying to figure out what was wrong I used OCCT to stress test all my hardware
it basically pushes everything use to the max and starts making really loud beeping noises if it finds a problem, doesn''t usually tell you exactly what's up but it does tell you what part is causing the error
so how do I do that?
can't send the link ._.
look for ocbase on the interwebs

system info should look something like this on the app

you can pick what you want to stress test, and for how long

I usually run up to a max of 10 minutes, kinda scared that I might fry my hardware :val_PeepoBlink:
hi
then should I go to my bios and re-optimize my bios?
wassup :D
can you go back into msinfo32, scroll all the way down and send a screenshot
re-optimize?
it might be written something
like my ram
that's up to you, the stress test only looks for problems that could affect your computer so like if your ram was fried it would tell you that "oh hey there's a problem with your ram"
anyway, since I can't help more I am going to go sleep or smth, if you want to test your hardware run this software at your own risk, it's great for stress testing but it might not detect the kind of problems you're having
This was like up 5800 or something

gotchyu
yeah, all of your bios settings got reset with the q-flash
wheres that
system information
or by looking up msinfo32 in your windows search bar

yep
it's written tpm is not usable lol
uhh
do windows + X -> event viewer
double clique on Windows Logs -> System
look for errors coming from TPM or TPM-WMI
What settings would you recommend?

if you really want to stress test then go with the default settings, if you're just checking change to medium and normal
no tpm chip on the motherboard, tried to set up ftpm but that doesn't show as tpm
anyway I am resigning from this thread, since I am of no use here anymore
ok
what I have seen is the times when I changed the settings to try to activate it
are they errors ?

We also have the vanguard that says that I dont have the requirements
are the errors at the top from TPM?
wym by that?
these ones, are theirs sources TPM

These are the red ones. The yellow one is talking about outplayed from overwolf

oh ok
try scrolling down and finding errors that have TPM as source
you can use the filter also
This is all of them

go into bios pls
wait, im stress testing
ok
@M. Frost is it normal for the gpu to not move?
Im stress testing rn
check ur gpu temps
and tell
under 40 C
yeah thats fine
if it doesnt go above a certain temp it doesnt bother using the fans to reserve energy or something
okay, I was worried for a sec
So theres no problems?

What do you want me to do in bios?
load factory default
often fixes the tpm is not usable error
This one?

nono
go to the save & exit tab
there should be an option called load optimized default
So this one?

ok
press yes
Done
Still no device found

do f10+enter
or save and exit
Then whats next?
if you have a page telling you to reset nv ftpm press Y
Done
did it restart on windows without the page ?
Yes
:(
its ok
i think
Uhmm…
go onto msinfo32, scroll all the way down and look if there's still the tpm is not usable text
Its gone…

bruh
close it and reopen it maybe
OMD
