Lightweight chore coat fit check?

I like the degree to which this linen blend breathes and feels weightless, but I'm not entirely sold on it. For one thing, it reads more like a shirt than a jacket since it's so unstructured and a bit shorter than most chore coats. I'm not sure how I feel about wearing it with the sleeves rolled up like this since the seam on the inside is kind of rough as shown. If I decide to keep it, I intend to get the sleeves hemmed. I'm also not a huge fan of the way the buttonholes and other details are finished, though this is by design and not cheap or frayed.

Secondary question: should I rehem these pants? I initially had them hemmed worn closer to the natural waist, but I've since decided against wearing them that way and the slight break has turned into a bit more than a full break. They don't drag even in low shoes like I'm wearing here, but it's very close.
