When I edit a photo that was shared with me, where does it save?

So I'm only doing some testing to understand Immich current limitations, and find out the best approach to upload my library between me and my partner. I've shared an album, and also partner shared. From the receiving user, I was happy to see she has the option to edit the shared photos from the mobile app. I tried a crop, and tap "Save to my gallery". Now, where is that? I cannot find this crop version of the image. I imagine a copy of the original would be created for her with the edit. I searched her timeline, but it's not there. I searched the shared album, not there. I check the main account with the original, not there... Is it not working? Or am I missing something?

Edited files are currently saved locally, not to the server

Found them! Thanks! Yeah I thought of that option too, but couldn't find it. I see they are placed into /Pictures/<file>, and their metadata (location and date) are lost from the original. 😦 That'd be a nice addition. Just found the feat request.
