washed-out colors

Hey guys, I recently installed Bazzite on my Steam Deck and after I set it to sleep and go back to it, my TV has washed out colors and I don't know how to fix it. I'm using the official Steam Deck dock and also a HDR compatible OLED display if that helps.

Im not using HDR in the KDE settings Maybe there are some lingering settings when I used the HDR settings. Is there a way for me to reset the settings?

The built-in monitor of the Steam Deck turns off when I use my TV as a display.

what is the resolution? 4K? it might be running with chroma subsampling which looks a little more washed than RGB Full

Yes The native resolution of my display is 4K.

Solution is to use HDMI instead of DisplayPort just note that deck and other amd gpu's only work with HDMI 2.0

wait, what happens if you reboot? and then switch to desktop mode if that doesn't help then restarting plasma session won't help either

I only have the issue if I go to sleep mode and go back to the PC on desktop mode, not on the Steam Linux play mode. Is that the right command (kquitapp5 plasmashell && kstart plasmashell)

think so, not sure

Nope, it resets the plasma shell, but the colors are still washed out.

i think this is just KDE HDR bug on the deck but it shouldn't happen if HDR is off make sure HDR is also off on the TV btw

That's a bummer because I used HDR mode in the Steam gaming mode and so I can't use HDR in games anymore.

HDR on gaming mode is its own thing not related to KDE its probably some KDE+Deck bug HDR is rough on linux
