FPS drops on steam games, and poor graphic quality

Hello There! Just switched to Bazzite form W10, so clearly a beginner on Linux overall. I'll put the system info as linked picture. I don't know why I have such a bad experience gaming on bazzite, and i'd really like to stick here for a while (no intention to get back on Windows).

shader caching? if the fps drops are during the start of a new scene, then its just shader caching will go away after a while

No it is not unfortunately Game tested the most is Borderlands 3 Character chosing, while playing (like 1 or 2 mobs are enough to drop violently FPS that are not very high at the beginning) Unplayable as it is

Which proton version are you using? Would also advise to use dx11 on nvidia to dodge the 20% dx12 nvidia tax.

Also make sure GPU-accelerated physx is off this does not always work properly

Those are very good questions, and I'm not sure i can provide those informations correctly, due to my poor level on this OS With further tests and settings: Borderlands 3 now has fps rate correct now, seems like resolution was not correct (too high) BUT still have drops, and freezes (that I didnt have on Windows) For Proton, I tried to force compatibility on steam as Hotfix, and also tried Experimental. Nothing changed Seems like I'm using dx11 already (in the game settings it shows d11, and I'm pretty sure I saw that somewhere in my pc) That's all I can tell for now! If you can guide me on where I can find my Proton current version and where I can check if GPU-accelerated physx are on or off, i would love to answer to your questions properly 😊

Right click game in Steam->Compatibility->"Force use of proton version" whatever you select there will be your proton version
