none of the sha256 hash codes are matching
i've downloaded the iso file and a new copy of the checksum from the site about 5 separate times now. i've tried using windows powershell, 7-zip, and gtkhash to verify the files but every time i check the hash codes for the two files they don't match up, is there an issue with the iso on the site or am i doing something wrong here?
trying to download bazzite-nvidia-open-stable-amd64.iso

If you are checking the iso on the usb thumb drive and getting stuck on 4.8%, then it is because windows is gay and touches the iso
but its probably not what happened here looking at your post
check that you are checking the right checksum
im verifying the checksum before ive transferred it to the drive, the checks are just different lol
im verifying with sha256
since there are 2 isos now
the old normal iso that only has the installer and the new "beta" live iso
ive checked both iso's with their respective checksum files and they're both not matching
ram issue?
last time I had that it was a ram issue
you can (if applicable) try checking with only one ram stick
ive tried verifying another iso's checksum and i didnt have this same issue
hmm
it might just be a different build
if you can verify the other iso's checksum you could probably use that to get through the install first
and then rebase to nvidia image later
it also might be using the nvidia-stable checksum instead of nvidia-open-stable checksum
im not sure i understand
the other file i verified the checksum for was a completely different os, i tried verifying a pop os iso to see if this was an issue on my end and it worked fine
huh
is there another host i could download a bazzite install from or is it just from their main site?
I thought you mean by the amd images
I think the main site is your safest bet
bazzite.gg
actually let me get on pc real quick and see if i can replicate it
thank you
these are the download options ive selected

no issues on my end
you might just have to redownload the iso and try again
Oh the live iso doesn't have its own checksum

this is what im getting when comparing the two files for the non-beta branch
You might have an outdated checksum file
try downloading the checksum file again
there's only one checksum file on the site though, i've downloaded a new copy of it 6 times noww
The iso's checksum should be correct
ive been redownloading both files each new attempt and the results havent changed
which is why im wondering if theres something wrong about the file thats hosted on the site right now
might be cdn weirdness, honestly idk (I'm not sure if bazzite even uses a cdn)
it should be https://download.bazzite.gg/bazzite-nvidia-open-stable-amd64.iso-CHECKSUM
this looks to be the same file i just downloaded
how about the live iso?

I noticed the download button of the checksum doesn't really work (as in not linking the correct checksum for live isos)
kindly try something like https://download.bazzite.gg/bazzite-nvidia-open-stable-live.iso-CHECKSUM
one sec downloading the live branch iso, it'll be a couple minutes
i noticed the checksum file for the live branch was the same as the file for the stable branch but i didn't think anything of it lol
didnt even think the link was just wrongg
yeah not sure why, I might have to look on the repo and see what happened
theyree still different idk

huh
wait why are you running a checksum on the checksum file LMFAO
you are supposed to uh
double click the checksum file
its just a plain text file
im comparing both of the hashes?
the hash is in plain text
it wouldn't make sense to have two files that have the same hash if they are not the same
that's the whole point of hashing
pasta pazool i am a fool

theoretically two different files never have the same hash
haha
gonna help you mark this as resolved then
lmaoo i amm
so sorry
no worries mistakes happen
my friends are all dogging on me in the other call im inn
