New parts = fresh install?

Hi, I installed Bazzite on my steaming PC with an i5 and a GTX1050, so I got the older Nvidia version of Bazzite. Now I bought a used PC to upgrade my stuff and it has a Ryzen 7 3700X and a GTX1050Ti. Now my question: do I have to reinstall Bazzite or can I use the old install, since it's the same version?

No need reinstall, just keep using it

Perfect, thanks πŸ‘ I just tried, it gives me an error: bad shim signature you need to load the kernel first Maybe because it's a different mainboard, it doesn't want to play nice?

That's a secure boot message. Disable secure boot, enroll the key again and it will be good. Happens when you reset cmos or upgrade the bios version

Ok that's strange because I didn't select secure boot, neither is it selected in the bios

Oh yeah it's usually on by default

Oh really? It wasn't on the first time I installed it. I guess my new mainboard decided to enable it. Unfortunately I couldn't find the setting where I can change it The new bios is kinda weird πŸ˜…

Sometime the menu can be confusing Usually Google will tell you which menu to open tho

Yes, I was about to look it up. Thanks a lot for the help! Just wanted to come back and say thank you! I got it to run. The secure boot setting was hidden under Windows OS settings, which I didn't check for obvious reasons. Thanks again, I really appreciate the help πŸ‘
