Fan Control on 2012 13-inch Macbook Pro

I have Bazzite installed in my old macbook pro. Im able to run quite a few games on it, however the CPU thermal throttles within 5 minutes. I repasted the CPU, but all that did was hold the fans back from kicking in. Im trying to customize the fan curve to get them to kick in before it throttles. I'm brand new to Linux so im using this as a learning tool. Any help would be appreciated

When throttling happens, does CPU temp go above 80-81 C or get stuck at 80 C? If it can reach >80 C then you need mbpfan, if not then bd prochot has kicked in and that is solved with trial and error

It goes all the way to 100c. The fans kick in but not aggressively enough. I tried installing mbpfan but I think maybe I’m not entering the command correctly

You need to modify mbpfan's conf file

I think you should layer it, as in
rpm-ostree install mbpfan
rpm-ostree install mbpfan
