- FEATURES: Complete generation of all LODs with mostly correct structures and trees. Does not save vanilla chunks, and is much faster than FULL unless C2ME is installed. - FULL: Generates and saves both DH LODs and vanilla chunks, has 100% correct LODs, because it also saves vanilla chunks it takes the most amount of drive space. Generation speed will suck unless C2ME is installed. - PRE-EXISTING: Generates LODs for all existing vanilla chunks.

FEATURES is not perfect, it is almost perfect It not always works with vanilla, and it can not work with some datapacks or worldgen mods present If you want all structures to generate 100% correct, use FULL generator instead

oh, ill try with full generation later, but i do have no max build height limit datapack, so ill try without that too ok i just tried with full and with features and the datapack was the problem

oh and ive noticed that for some reason full is faster for me than features

Not really possible, unless C2ME is installed and it’s threading settings are bigger than DH’s even then I doubt that FULl does everything that FEATURES does, but single threaded (tens of times slower if on high core count CPUs) and more (so even slower on even 1 core) If the worldgen/datapack are not compatible with FEATURES I guess it can slow it down a lot Then I guess FULL could be faster indeed

if it works it works 🤷‍♂️

Have you also found this happens 100% of the time with end cities? 2nd pic is "Full" generation.

:hmmmm: Interesting, so an entire end city structure fits inside a 2x2 (maybe 3x3?) chunk area it seems?

this is happening to me 100% of the time. i was trying to loot end citys but they dont generate. ill try turning off datapacks and the overworld worldgen mod i use maybe that changes

You need to change the generation mode to FULL, then it will work.

features should work. full is heavier in cpu and storage also i cant find the limit option for world generation. dh is trying to generate chunks far beyond my render distance which is frying my cpu

Yes, but it doesn't. So you need to use full if you want to see end cities. Its not much heavier in cpu if you install c2me

allright. just as curiosity. is this a bug or features doesnt load end citys by default

Probably just a quirk with how the features generator works.

I have found Full+C2ME is still acceptably fast compared to Features, as long as you have plenty of RAM to allocate. In terms of storage, a TB or even half a TB set aside should be plenty for a long time unless you are exploring great distances, and if the save gets too huge you can always just trim extraneous chunks using any decent world editor like amulet. Of course YMMV based on what render distance you are using. I play on 200 but could comfortably settle for 150 if I ever find the world size on disk is growing too fast.
