Constant Hard Crashing
It seemed like a month or two ago crashes were rare playing BG3 and using firefox for xbox voice chat. Since then, when I've tried the same setup, I get crashes under 30 minutes, and after that sometimes crashes in as little as 5 minutes. I've tried changing renderer, power settings, rollbacks, updates, but cannot figure out what's happening.
Any idea where to start looking? My friends are begging me to switch back to windows but I really want to stick with linux

Ocbase is the home of OCCT, the most popular all-in-one stability / stress testing / benchmarking / monitoring tool available for PC
No errors detected... the mystery continues
Re ran and at 50 min core #8 had repeated errors, but it crashed so I couldnt investigate them. Still crashing in 5-15 min of playing bg3, when two months ago I could play it for hours. Very frustrating
Do you have Intel gen 13 or 14 cpu? You might need an RMA
I could check but I'm so mad with my pc I dont even want to try turning it on now π bazzite keeps saying it isnt updated even directly after an update and reboot. Many annoying/breaking quirks popping up lately
Judging from core crash, you can try using power save mode to keep frequency & temps low
Could it relate to the update message where something in the system thinks it isnt updated in over a month?
Unlikely but update from terminal just to be sure
I had thag warning and bazzite updated silently, I realized after a reboot π
I've used every update command possible and it still happens on occasion. I did flip secureboot off and on, but on wouldnt let bazzite boot at all and i think fast boot got switched off too. Is there a link to recommended uefi settings?
Booting now w secureboot disabled again* meant to add
There are no "bazzite recommend uefi settings" but here is my recommendation: secure boot off (on is possible but needs additional setup), fast boot off, sleep mode s3 (not s0ix / modern standby)
Disable any overclock or undervolt
I appreciate that. Switching over to dx11, low quality, and latest proton ge gets me like 10 mins on bg3 before a crash. Before these new problems I ran very high quality, 144hz, and 2k resolution so I cant think the issue is game settings since it was better before on more demanding settings
Turn on power save, switch to your old settings
Also upload logs (there is an ujust)
To get crash logs I need to run steam using steam command right?
4 min into gameplay and still going, which is much better than previous attempts. Still expecting a hard crash any second haha
7 min and crashed

Update again gave this message. Is there a way to fix the gnome 46 error?

not an error
got it, so that's nothing to worry about then?
right
if a game is crashing, set the launch options to
PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
it'll make a log in your home dir, upload the whole thing
if it's full-system, ujust logs-last-boot
after a crash
watch your RAM usage and what not
if the game is modded, remove the mods
and validate your game filesThank you very much, on it now
How many lines do I need from ujust logs? Had a sys crash again
whole thing
Im holding enter and it keeps spitting more out, keep going?
Over 3000 lines and counting
Sorry im a noob but i appreciate the help
I guess more importantly, how do I share all 4192 lines here?
ujust logs-last-boot > file.txt
upload file hereOk ty
I copied and pasted that into terminal, it says "sudo journalctl --no-hostname -b -1"
made a file called file.txt in your working dir
upload it here
Ah there we go
looks like a nvidia driver issue
Mama mia... is there a rollback version you know of that has a more stable nvidia driver that I could try?
@Kyle Gospo I had much better success with 513, but it still crashed after some time, maybe 45 min? Should I upload that log file?
