Snap Tap

Is the Keyboard feature „Snap Tap“ allowed in Valorant? In Cs2 it isnt allowed and you can get banned for it as far as i know

:valExclamation: Riot does not offer an official list of which software, hardware, or other modifications may lead to ban. Riot is constantly working on trying to keep the game fair for all players. They stress that any modification that causes an unfair advantage for players, will lead to a restriction. its not bannable on valorant. literally most pros are using either wooting or other keyboards with the same feature as snap tap. its bannable on call of duty, counter strike, overwatch and apex i think. most of the games i mentioned are riddled with actual cheaters who use cheat programs but those games banned snaptap/socd but riot hasnt, kinda ironic lol. i find it funny when Riot tries to imply that they made valorant to be the most competitive game and value competitive integrity and constantly repeat the same sentence of "Riot is constantly working on trying to keep the game fair for all players. They stress that any modification that causes an unfair advantage for players, will lead to a restriction" yet they actively allow things like snap tap/socd and raw accel which do fall under the category of causing unfair advantages and proven by pros saying its broken and other competitive games banning them instantly. but Riot doesnt ban those things...?.. mm okay. i guess its the same thing when they added a smurfing report button and claim to have strict rules on no smurfing but allow top streamers and influencers to stream or make videos of themselves smurfing. very clear wording as usual by Riot

I think the reason they allow it is they took so long to actually like recognize it that streamers promoted it so alot of people spent the money for it, i guess theyd think they would get backlash? thats my thought tho

thats obviously what it is. its like when they promised replays for the first 2-3 years and then never mentioned it again because they failed the promise. meanwhile making a console/mobile port of the game and then finally using UE5 as an excuse 5 years later to add replay. most likely because replay would show the horrible netcode/gunplay and how bogus things actually look like from a replay perspective. maybe show sus things too idk

i feel everygame has the chance to have some shitty plays like valorant mainly with the chance of being able to run and shoot and get an headshot, no game is perfect.

but i think the main things that gripes me is the constant claims about the care for competitive integrity when they actively allow smurfing, snaptap/socd, rawaccel and their gunplay is horrible because its built upon random recoil patterns meaning i can get 18 kills one game from aiming like ass and then get 10 kills the next game from trying to aim perfectly. or 8 kills from aiming like ass. some games looks like bullets go through people, some games im moving while headshotting people and samething the other way around. 0 consistency, 0 comp integrity. but this goes over most peoples heads because they arent rational

I dont know about you but the recoil patterns dont change. u can go in the range and try, easily can be mind games with yourself every player experiences this, getting good at games like valorant is being able to "lock in" and becoming consistent. But thats me.

they dont change when you put them in a focused test. but once you start playing 10 different games and lets say you have perfect conditions where all 10 games things are the same, the gunplay just isnt. some games youre getting 20 kills with 40% headshot rate wondering how you even got most of those headshots because it defies the logic of the game and then the next game youre watching bullets go through people, peoples legs still crossing as they headshot you and youre not hitting fluke shots anymore. im just saying from someone whos put a lot of hours in different games, the most comparable is counter strike and youll have a couple games like that on CS in a span of a year but valorant is like an everyday thing where you sit there like wtf how does that make any sense. and like i heard the same exact shit come outta tenz mouth and that guy was like the poster boy of valorant so i dont think im being irrational, i just dont associate things like that with skill and disagree especially when its coming from games that say they strive for competitiveness. other games dont have to say that and are more competitive/skill oriented in that regard particularly

ive never had the issue of realizing it changes. I feel thats just how valorant is. You have good games and bad, alot can make it feel that its the gunplay, like internet, The other players, ur overrall mind set. I feel we are getting off topic so, lets stop this here if u want to keep talking about it im fine with it in dms. But @Hoopa you should be fine id double check with riot support
