Cannot rebase to bazzite-dx
I'm trying to go from
bazzite-gnome-nvidia-open to bazzite-dx-nvidia-gnome but I always end up with a black screen or infinite bazzite logo loading screen (since yesterday after update). Is there any way I can provide info to troubleshoot?
I tried rebasing to bluefin-dx-nvidia-open and it worked fine, I'm currently using it.16 Replies
When you're stuck on black screen
Can you go to TTY?
Ctrl + Alt + F3?
Boot logs (filter for errors)
journalctl -b -p 3
GDM / GNOME logs
journalctl -b | grep gdm
journalctl -b | grep gnome
Xorg or Wayland logs (whichever you're using)
cat ~/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log
Maybe take some pics if you can't paste from there of course

Doesn't it change session to a terminal-like session? Only text

Will the logs be there if I boot into the version before rebasing?
How can you rebase if you can't access terminal or visual desktop?
I thought rebasing was only from terminal
Maybe from a live usb
And mount the drive
But can't be sure if you'll be able to run and check the logs
