laptop not updating

hi so ive been trying to update my laptop for the past weeks and it wont work, i have like 50 gbs of storage left. like it’ll 100% download then 100% install then say theres an error, i tried asking chat gpt and it told me to rename files but for some reason i js dont have access to that, and i dont wanna like fuck up my laptop by doing some crazy shit, so any help is appreciated!!
