Extremely slow boot times
New to Linux - please be patient with me!
Since installing Bazzite on my HP Omen 17 recently (dual-booting on the same drive as a Windows install, has a Nvidia GPU), the boot times have become extremely slow. From pressing the power button:
1. 25 seconds to get to Grub (this delay doesn't always happen)
2. +1:25 after Grub to get to the Omen logo
3. +1:43 for the Bazzite logo and spinner to appear
4. +25 seconds to login
I saw another message in this server saying to run
systemd-analyze blame
, and other than dracut-pre-udev.service
taking 35 seconds, it's mostly a lot of 3-6 second entries that look fairly similar (see attached screenshot). I don't know what other troubleshooting to run, so any help would be appreciated.

I wonder if it's something to do with my SSD since I'm pretty sure it's Samsung and a lot of these mention Samsung, but I don't know why it's happening or how I'd improve it

I can’t promise to have an answer since I’m also brand new but I was also getting hung on on boot yesterday.
Can you try rebooting and pressing esc once you see the Bazzite logo on the loading screen? It will tell you what’s happening and could give you a clue as to the issue.
Is there anything in particular I should be looking out for? I did this before but other than one red line that went by too quick to read, there weren't any errors
Not sure. I would say anything in red. In my case it got hung up detecting one of my usb ports for like 50 seconds. If you see anything weird just try to grab a picture and add it here.
Will try that a little later once I'm done with some stuff then 👍
Got this as a response to my problem, figured I’d forward it over.
