Can't update Bazzite
I get the same error every time and I've been looking everywhere and nothing works.
I saw somewhere the file was missing a number in it's link, which seems to be the case, I tried to ad it but I can't change the file because I don'T have the read-write permission.
I tried to change those permission and neither through the file manager nor the terminal was I able to do so.
I tried forcing the update I also couldn't. I spent a few hours on this now, over a few days, and I'm really tired. I'm unsure what to do, and most tutorials that seems successful are done through means that I'm unfamiliar with or don't understand.
Halp.

post the output of
rpm-ostree status
here
that?
why did you installed amdgpu when it's already on the system?
I saw there was a problem with the driver, therefore I tried to update said driver. I don't come from Linux, and I've learn like today that it's prepacked with bazzite.
you can't update the drivers that are preinstalled on bazzite
Solution
Like I said, I've learned that today. still unsure what a kernel is tbh
are you telling me I should try that?
it's fine, just don't do things that you're unsure of
yes
it's better to ask if it's fine to do certain things like updating drivers or whatever, always
should I imput all of that one shot or just one line at a time?
one line at a time, yup
second told me no such file, that's good yeah?
probably not
ls /etc/yum.repos.d

oh, that's because you wrote second command wrong
missing dot between
yum
and repos
that'S an easy fix then. I've been rereading but now my eyes hurts so. my bad
you could just copy-paste it
i did... nothing happened
it wouldn't output anything after that
try
ujust update
oh, rm is remove
I redid the line and there's no directory, so it worked i guess
wait what
screenshot it

the update went through and everything is flagged green now
nice, but try this one instead
sudo rm -rf /etc/yum.repos.d/amdgpu*
and I saw that you also have winehq repo, don't layer wine and read this page https://docs.bazzite.gg/Gaming/
Bazzite's Gaming Guide - Bazzite Documentation
Bazzite is a custom image built upon Fedora Atomic Desktops that brings the best of Linux gaming to all of your devices.
I had already entered the update command. Should I try the one you just gave me before rebooting?
do this so you won't stumble across this exact error that you had earlier whenever you layer something to your system
I was trying to run a thing for minecraft mods and the stuff I had wasn't working. I'll definitly ahve a read tho
use prism launcher for minecraft stuff
it's way easier
it's athing with my friend server. idk. I'm not a big minecraft nerd. I used prism before and did prefer that.
but it doesn'T support their mod or something. ANYWAYS
not sure of what you meant. Do the command, or the reading ?
the rm command
nothing happened
sorry for confusion

then you're good
now you can reboot
Currently rebooting
Well. It's booted so there's that
and it must have worked cause therE's a lot of changes. Thank you!
