H&M Chinos
I bought some H&M slim fit chinos the other day, but honestly I don't know if I should return them because I've heard mixed things about H&M products. I did some looking around at Banana Republic but their sizes are too big for me. Should I just keep the H&M's, or should I try ordering online from Banana Republic?
Their 30W was too big, I think I'm a 29W or even 28W at BR
I've attached the H&M chinos down below, the fit is fine on me.

Hi @gmie! For better answers, include:
- Reference pictures
- Budget in numbers
- Specific measurements
- Openness to buying secondhand and/or online
- Location: country/continent is fine
- Timing/urgency
do u like the h&m ones? is there something specific you're looking for? both of these brands are just mall brands at the end of the day, there's a ceiling to what you can expect wrt build/construction quality and materials used.
the H&M ones are okay, they're serviceable at least. The issue is, I'm probably going to have to get them hemmed anyway so it ends up being a bit pricier.
I think I do prefer the feel and the look of the Core Temp Chinos I was looking at in the BR store, but if the H&M ones are going to last long enough then I don't mind keeping them.
I guess I'm more concerned about how they're going to hold up?
it depends on a lot of factors. Neither brand is known for stellar QC or build quality, but if you're washing them properly and wearing them normally theyll last you a while. Mending & repairs are also pretty cheap or extremely easy to learn to DIY.
Gotcha. Okay, in that case I'll probably just keep the H&M ones. Thanks for the tips!
uniqlo has similar and free hemming, as a heads up if budget is the constraint
the mens go down to 27" waist
tho u might wanna measure ur hm chinos to see if they're vanity sized
haha, just sent in my h&m's for hemming earlier
yeah I checked out the uniqlo slim chinos but wasn't a super huge fan
thanks for the tip about vanity sizing
will definitely keep that in mind going forward
np, if u have a uniqlo near u, try the womens trousers options too, they tend to have more flexible options in terms of cuts/fabrics
