Feature Request for Industrial Storage and Props +
>mod industrial storage and props +
FYI @Muppet Burrito
For days now, maybe as long as a week, I've been fighting a loosing battle against the Vanilla machinic for it to build god awful looking leg/supports under things it thinks are unsupported, and unfortunately for me this also includes the awesome tanks you have included in this mod, that it sees fit to add these things too.
Despite every effort I've made to build a blueprint that includes these tanks, when I paste it in, I guess the order of object creation while the blueprint loads is making it completely ignore ever effort I've made to make sure they ARE Properly supported at the time of creation, and yet once it's all loaded, there they are, almost mocking me, built right through my damn foundations.
So My request is this, Please help me, and create a toggle that will disable that vanilla machinic entirely, at least for the objects included in your mod, but even better would be globally, but that may be asking too much, so please at least your tanks!

Absolutely, leave it with me, I should be able to update that in the next day or so for you! D

If this isn't the mod you were looking for, try a different spelling.
I thought there was already a mod that totally suppressed the "factory legs" system, but I can't find it again now
if there is I've yet to discover it
maybe one of the legacy mods that no longer work had the feature? IDK
all i can say for sure, is they are really making me mad. I've tried so many thing to fix it, but every time pasteing a bp, they gt built
do you mine share the blueprint? I wanna test something
nvm, I see what you mean, its weird they dont do it when placing freely either in blueprint or outside, but when placing blueprint they get legs π
Try this mod, it might do what you need
Otherwise, I'm more than happy to talk to the dev of that mod and see if we can't make removing the legs an optional toggle in mine π

No Invalid Floor Placement
Simple mod that removes the "Surface is too uneven" restriction from buildables

I already have that mod installed, it doesn't effect the legs being made what so ever, it's description is pretty vague as to what it does do when interacting with items that have buildable legs, but it defiantly isn't to prevent them form appearing.
That's right, I remember now, it used to remove the legs entirely but that caused issues with some of the holograms crashing as the game really doesn't like that
But, I know Baba, the mod dev of that mod, is working on something in CPP for that mod now that might make removing them a possibility again
If they manage to get something working I might be able to make that a toggleable option for my containers as well, hopefully independently of that mod, but at the very least in conjunction with it
sure here ya go, it does have serval dependencies tho, fluid depo, industrial storage, small depos, architectural + and configurable machines off the top of my head otherwise dont know what it'll actually paste in
oh right and refinded power for the recipe
that would be so great if it could be done. I'm telling ya there seems nothing I can do to prevent them on my end
is it like a object class default for any buffer to include the vanilla functionality, or does it not differentiate between modded assets and vanilla assets
Not just buffers, any building type that the base game thinks should have legs, it's a base game 'feature' that is proving quite a challenge to mod around
I ask because in most instances of it building the legs it usually does a decent job at at least using an appropriately sized leg for the object it's adding them to, but in the case of these tanks, I don't think it knows what it's attaching them too, and it builds the biggest bulkiest ones it has in it's arsenal
Actually, you've given me an idea. I might not be able to remove the legs entirely for now, but I can definitely make them smaller so they're less of an eyesore
yeah? that would be so great

thank you so much, you're awesome!
And Baba's done it again (before I could finish lol)! It's now an optional toggle in No Invalid Floor Placement to remove legs entirely π
