north face purple label
looking to buy a winter jacket and i see people reference specifically purple label North Face seemingly a lot compare to just regular U.S. (or wherever else) North Face
Is this usually due to liking the cut/style of the purple label better or is there a known difference in construction/quality/warmth? Specifically for the down jackets/parkas ig because that's what I'm looking at

As far as I can see purple lable is a NF x Nanamica collab
Purple Label is designed by Nanamica and that also includes which materials/fabrics they use. I don't know who actually produces it tbh. I have one Nanamica down jacket that is super warm and well made but I don't know if it's better than the North Face's higher end stuff
I think it will potentially be "worse" than straight up north face stuff
I think it's definitely more made for fashion than pure performance
they aren't owned by north face from what I can see, so it's likely just a licencing of the brand name
yeh this is what I meant to add
I have one very light purple label jacket that doesn't stick out in terms of quality. Like, it's fine but not better than a normal light NF/Patagonia/Arcteryx jacket. But I like how it looks a lot!
oh @sierra since you got kicked from your own Q&A
ohhh ok cool thank u friends
I'll probably just get like a regular north face parka then
i like da fuzzy hood
Fuzzy hood good
They've become closer in recent years
Some of the flagships carry purple label too
