Your beloved fatigue jacket (or chore coat)
I know one gap I have in my closet is a green outer layer. It seems a lot of folks have their own fatigue jacket so I was curious what your favorite/preferred one was. I'm also curious about chore coats which I know are structurally different but in my mind slot in the same. Budget wise im open to anything between $100-$450. Just want to see what you love and why!

i see this called out a lot and it looks great. At the risk of being too ignorant, what makes this one in particular so well regarded?
It’s one of the original French chore coat brands. Has that prestige going for it. And from what I’ve seen they’re real sturdy and reliable.
Yeah, there's other brands too, Vetra, Le Laboureur, for example but these are supposed to be some of the best

Mont St Michel is good, but be aware that it’s higher priced that Vetra or Le Laboureur while offering a similar level of QC and French manufacture. They’re definitely prestige priced but their color selection is also bigger.
thanks for this. That rrl overshirt is wonderful btw
Vetra to my knowledge also isn't currently making moleskin jackets
Just twill which is fine but not the traditional fabric
Idk I’m camp Le Laboureur
You can definitely find cheap 2nd hand/ vintage surplus fatigue jackets.
As far as buying retail, I've been eyeballing this one for a while:

I'd also second Le Laboureur.

I like the Informale moleskin work jacket. It doesn’t seem like much but it’s a dream to wear.
