ADVICE NEEDED: Upgrading from 1.123.0 to 1.136.0 - do I need to replace my docker-compose.yml
Upgrading from 1.123.0 to 1.136.0
Should I download the latest docker-compose.yml and replace my current version:
Are the following steps correct?
1. Download the latest docker-compose.yml file from the official Immich GitHub repository
https://github.com/immich-app/immich/releases/latest/download/docker-compose.yml
2. Replace existing docker-compose.yml file with the newly downloaded one
3. Edit .env to choose the specific version
IMMICH_VERSION=v1.136.0
4. Pull and replace images
5. docker compose pull && docker compose up -d
I've noticed there are a bunch of CAUTION statements in the release notes and want to make sure I have this correct... thanks for the help in advance

You need to read all 3 breaking changes listed since 123 in https://github.com/immich-app/immich/discussions?discussions_q=label%3Achangelog%3Abreaking-change+sort%3Adate_created
Don't just replace it willy nilly
I did read those... please see my attached docker-compose.yml and .env
1. 1.136.0 --> IMMICH_MEDIA_LOCATION not in use in my .env
2. 1.133.0 --> "mobile app and the server on the same version for this release" I have been updating my mobile app with each new release... is there something else to do?
"Immich only supports upgrading directly from 1.107.2 or later." ** I am on 1.123.0 ..
Note - not planning to move to 1.137.0... upgrading to 1.136.0 since the caution says " running version of Immich is v1.132.0 or newer"
Is there a specific docker-compose.yml for 1.133.0 and 1.136.0? Or is it just the latest?
Please let me know if the steps I outlined in my 1st post above are correct.
The composes specific for those releases are always attached to the release
Other than that, update to 1.136 first and then 1.137, I think there might be a migration that's needed in between
compose looks good 👍
Thanks for the reply - much appreciated
The URL for the docker compose file corresponding to a specific release is a bit unexpected (juxtaposed):
Latest: https://github.com/immich-app/immich/releases/LATEST/download/docker-compose.yml
specific version: https://github.com/immich-app/immich/releases/download/VERSION/docker-compose.yml (eg. VERSION = v1.136.0)
Perhaps the URL might be updated to match syntactically...
That's on github though
