Gardeners are a game mechanic in the game that function similar to pets. They wander around the garden, although mostly around their designated plot. However, Gardeners are temporary and provide passive rather than periodical buffs. Gardeners also work while the players are offline. The player has three gardener slots in total and more slots cannot be bought, and each gardener can be appointed to a maximum 3 plots (half plots are counted as 1) in which they will perform their respective tasks. Upon hiring any Gardener, the player will get badge "Helping Hand". The gardeners also have a "mood" mechanic which affects their performance. 70 - 100% - Happy 40 - 70% - Neutral 0 - 40% - Irritated This, along with their activity duration left shows above them. There are three moods: happy, neutral and irritated. Their mood drops very slowly and passively, around 3% every 20 minutes, and more suddenly during the heatwave and tornado events (30-40%), as well as when a fruit is stolen from the player's plot (20%) (Normal and Racoon). Mood drops slower when player is not in the game. Mood can be increased by giving them sheckles (cost depends on the Gardener) or fruits (sheckles are preferred). Clicking on Gardeners will show four options: Give; either sheckles (3 Options, depending) or fruits (same as pet giving), Fire (they will immediately disappear, your sheckles will NOT be refunded), Assign Plant (a menu of all available plants [e.g Single-Harvest plants for a Single-Harvest Gardener] in your garden will appear and you can choose up to 3-25 plants they will harvest passively (even if you are offline) or Designate Plot (click on a plot, will not work if another gardener already has it designated). Additionally, the mood of the gardeners will take more time to drop depending of the rarity of the crops in the player's garden. Gardeners start off with "Neutral" Mood. only these plants will appear in the menu when clicking Assign Plant. Gardeners can be recruited in William The Employer's Hire shop, located in-between the sell and seed shop. Similar to the Gear, Egg, Cosmetic and Seed shop, this shop resets has a timer and resets every 25 minutes. William the employer wears a black suit with a more modern-looking shack than others. When a Gardener is not "available", it will say "NO HIRE AVAILABILITY". (William The Employer) Storage Crate: Storage Crates and Barrels will be available in the Cosmetic Shop for 10,000,000 and 30,000,000 sheckles respectively with a placing limit of 3. A crate will have 50 storage and a barrel will have 75. When the user's inventory is full, harvesting gardeners will put fruits in here. Players can open crates/barrels by holding I which will open both crate and user inventory, and the player simply has to click their fruits to shift them to the crate. There will also be a "place all" button. Crates cannot be removed unless empty. When a Gardener is designated to a multi-harvest plant, it will only harvest fruits of that plant, but if it is designated to a single-harvest plant, it will harvest all plants of that type (e.g designated carrot, it will harvest all carrot). "Farmer" Rarity: Uncommon Stock Chance: 98% Duration: 45 minutes Price: 25,000 Sheckles Description: Happy: The farmer buys 1-3 of the most expensive single-harvest plant currently available in the seed shop (with half cost to the user) every 10 minutes and plants it in their designated plot, while also applying a 3x size buff and a 15% chance of either gold or rainbow mutation. The Angry Gardener's mood is always irritated, no matter what. When an opposing player enters the Garden and tries to steal, it will say [Angry Gardener has prevented you from performing this action]. The Angry Gardener will then chase you even if you accidentally pressed E and if caught, you would be teleported out of the Garden. If a Fox or a Racoon tries to steal, the Angry Gardener will also chase it out and it will return to the opposing player with a saddened animation. 4. The Elegant Gardener can be assigned to up to 15 plants, which it harvests every 8 seconds. Every 40 minutes, the Majestic Expert Gardener chooses a seed of rarity between Uncommon and Mythical in the player's garden and duplicates and replants it. Will only work if the user has at least 150 seeds in their Garden. The player's Garden will be covered with a yellow aura which will speed up plant growth, mutation chances or fruit size. The fairy can be assigned to up to 20 plants and it harvests one every 5 seconds. Note: Gardeners will not buy seeds if the user does not have enough money or switch to a cheaper one (e.g Mushroom is on stock but user has no money for the Farmer Gardener to buy it, it will buy, say orange tulip if it is second on the most expensive list). Additionally, Gardeners will not harvest plants if the users inventory is full (unless given a crate) or will not plant seeds if the limit is reached.
