^easy bypass is trex. You can get ceramic even if your crop is already frozen using this method

So you have to get the Ceramic Mutation first, and then Frozen.

@AstroQD, Frozen doesn't affect sandy, but it does remove wet, which prevents you from getting clay, which then also prevents Ceramic too.
