Looking for suggestions for server hosting
Hello! I'm currently trying to look for a host that can handle a 50k x 100k map with a estimated playerbase of around 100 people. I have looked at OVH, Pyro, and Hostinger. OVH doesn't seem to have good hardware for their lower priced Game servers, Pyro cannot provide storage above 340 gigabytes, and Hostinger does not disclose what kind of cpu they use/cannot provide enough storage. (The map is estimated to be around 500 Gigabytes after generation)

what location
US East or near Chicago
From what I see, OVH may be the best option but I am not too sure about using a Intel Core i7-7700K
are you planning on pregenning the whole thing? it's probably gonna be bigger than 500gb
I did some math with the current generation and it was estimated to be 533gb
would not do 100 on i7-7700k
pyro has horrible history
hostinger is awful in general
ovh is decent depending on some factors
what is your budget etc
(Current storage used - Storage used before pre-generation) / % completed of pre-generation
Pyro I made decent relations with
Would be something Iβd use for smaller scale server that donβt use up that much storage
I can do $55 ish
Only if OVHβs non-game servers had DDOS mitigation I would have gotten a regular dedicated machine

@ProGamingDK what would be your thoughts on this?
OVHcloud
SYS-GAME-1
not for 100 players
What about something with a Milan EYPC?
most of those suck
oof
I'm in a predicament
there really isn't anything "good" to actually host this one
Why not find a game host like, Bloom, Pebblehost, Prismnodes, Lilypad, etc
They don't offer storage sizes above 400 gigabytes
what do you need 400gb for?
oh i see
thats an insanely high world for no reason
533 Gigabyte world of the Americas
i see
good luck then
Wait didnβt Pebble offer unlimited storage or some provider? I canβt remember
Itβs βfair useβ
And pebble uses shared resources and not dedicated threads
Intel Core i9-9900K AMD Ryzen 9 3900 Listing is now gone
Intel Xeon E-2176G
$48.90
Intel Core i5-12500 $41.90
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X $49.90
$38.90
Intel Xeon W-2145 $55.90
I did find there servers on the Hetzner auction, what do you think might be the best option? @ProGamingDK
I'm thinking I would be the i9 since it has the highest clock speed (Boost)I have the i9 9900K its pretty good
swapping to a 5950x mare metal, but the i9 9900k has served its use pretttty well
hi, we can offer game hosting or vps with 800g of storage in new york on a 9950x cpu, if that interests you
What is your price for 12 cores, 32gb ram, and 1tb of storage
I already know waffle has cosmic guard
its actually GCore now
much better than cosmic
Website says cosmic still, might need to update that
$84/mo, $64 base + $20 for 500gb extra storage
that would be 6 cores no?
16 for game hosting, 12 for vps, i should really update that website
based on the pricing, I could estimate $120/month?
its $84
16 vcores
32gigs of ram
1tb storage
hmm
I'll compare to other hosts
right now I'm looking at pebble which looks like a better deal
Many hmms later
