How to update KNS items like plasmoids and themes

Before the plasma Discover store i used to update all my plasmoids and other kns stuff through discover, howver with the introduction of bazzar ( which i do perfer for flatpaks) discover was removed I tried overlaying discover back ont the system with 
rpm-ostree install plasma-discover plasma-discover-kns plasma-discover-notifier
rpm-ostree install plasma-discover plasma-discover-kns plasma-discover-notifier
and i get the following error when i try to launch discover

I tried installing the packagekit backend to see if it would help with 
rpm-ostree install plasma-discover-packagekit
rpm-ostree install plasma-discover-packagekit
and it said i already had it. are there any other alternate ways of updating kns stuff other then the get new whateveritem menu (which doesnt always work i found discover to be more reliablie for updating and browing kns stuff) ?
