Thumbnail Error!
I’ve uploaded my photos from proton drive to Ente due to storage concerns. After that, I’ve noticed something unusual. Various coloured strips took place of photo based thumbnails. I want to know the reason behind this and how i can fix this issue. Shockingly, the thumbnails for videos were appearing. Why is that so? The files were of a usual format and not any other absurd format. Kindly help me resolve this issue.

It appears you're experiencing thumbnail issues after uploading photos to Ente. Specifically, you're seeing colored strips instead of photo thumbnails and video thumbnails appearing unexpectedly.
One potential cause for missing or improper thumbnails is browser settings or extensions that block access to the canvas. Firefox, for example, has a "block canvas fingerprinting" setting that can prevent thumbnail generation. If you're using Firefox or a similar browser, ensure that Ente has access to the canvas. It is also beneficial to enable machine learning before importing your photos, as this allows the Ente app to index your files as they are getting uploaded instead of needing to download them again. Thumbnails are generated during upload. From where did you upload?

I deleted my files cuz i uploaded them here
Always make sure you have multiple backups, not just to one service.
You can still download them and then re-upload.
Before re-uploading, you will need to delete the files from Ente (you can keep them in trash if you wish). Otherwise, the uploader will skip these files as duplicates.
