Crashing on mac - dont know enough to know how to fix
im having a problem on mac and i dont know enough about minecraft or modding to know exactly what the issue im looking for is, if someone could give some explaination on this id appreciate it.
in the screenshot, rendering is set to true. and with this set to true, any time i try to join a world, my game crashes. but it runs perfectly fine when it is false. ive seen people have this issue and fix it by enabling and diabling certain things in the menus but nothing has worked for me.

Did you try disabling instanced rendering in the advanced settings?
i did not, let me get my game working and try it real quick
not sure if it matters but i enabled rendering and disabled distant generation and that allowed me to play (buy of course did nothing)
where is that in the settings?
sorry lol
in advanced -> graphics most likely
i looked through there a couple times and im not seeing it
does it vary based on version
no
Advanced -> Graphics -> Generic Object Rendering -> Instanced Rendering

why are you on 2.2.1
The latest is 2.3.4
this is what was set up in a full modpack
update DH
1.20.1 minecraft version
done and disabled instanced, should i leave all else the same?
for now, yes
i cant get past 0% on opening a world
before it freezes
i got to joining but it froze
any other ideas?
try disabling all the rendering options in that menu
it froze again
Thanks updated the #help-notes message
Since I do have a mac now, I can actually do some testing if it happens for me as well
works without issue for me
could be a mod conflict
It’s dh + sodium
I should really do a check to see what sodium version(if any in particular) adds the issue
Then commit
@Chaos what sodium version are you on
