Black screen on boot up

I did a search and did not find a case similar enough to mine or one where the solutions fixed my issue. If I missed one I am sorry please direct me to it and thank you. I installed bazzite on my desktop and now after it boots it just goes to a black screen and my monitor goes to sleep. I can hit control alt f2 and get to the terminal. My system has an intel i9 and an evga 3080. I installed the bazzite-nividia-open version 41. I was able to update to version 42.20250809 through the terminal. That did not help. I also have gone through the troubleshooting guide on bazzite website and did all the steps with the exception of rebasing from fedora. There was also a YouTube video on the bazzite from Mike’s Tech Tips on this issue and that did not help either. I have also reinstalled the OS and each time I have installed it, it was a full wipe. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and if you need more information I would be happy to oblige.

I had the same a month ago and dont remember 100% what fixed it. Here is the things I did: - Removed some AMD CPU optimization settings (dunno how they were called - Default RAM frequencies - There was something you could add to the installation image on the USB, not sure if I did that - Made sure the system is installed on a Btrfs filesystem - Made sure I selected the correct Installation Image to download - Reinstalled the system after I made adjustments, because I think it didn't really install correctly with the previous stuff

I figured it out, I had a kvm extender that used HDMI on my computer so the tower was out of the way. I removed the extender still no change, but since I was there swapped out the HDMI cable for a DP and it works fine. I do not know if the kvm extender had any effect but the cable did. I will get an extender that uses DP and see if it still works.
