Scarlet macaw is a 8% chance pet and somewhat easy to get as ive hatched atleast 4 of them, and the abilitly is mid. butterfly is 1% and has one of the best abilities in game, especially for people with raccoons because you can turn your biggest fruit on a alt account rainbow very easily making it the best pet for money farming. Instead of hoping for a rainbow + huge fruit you focus on growing a huge fruit then you can easily make it rainbow and start stacking mutations

I doubt anyone would do it for mantis, i know some people like them but mantis offers a tiny chance for gold/rainbow and is hard to get on a specific crop you want, where butterfly is 100% chance after adding a few mutation sprays and a mutation pet. If the person had a brain they wouldnt trade a butterfly for a mantis but this game is full of people without brains so who knows
