Issues with downloading and launching games
I've been trying to install Peak and Phasmophobia, both of which just stop downloading after a while saying something like "content unavailable" or similar. I tried launching Phantom Detective today, and it launches but shows a crash report and then i have to quit the game, nothing else happens.

odds are they arent downloading because the steam client that heroic provides is (intentionally) an older version which is restricted from updates
theres something about some steamdb mismatch on older versions which stops it from downloading games that were released after/updated after

you can tryyyy doing a forced download with the steamdb commandline but its a relatively complicated process that isnt great for the average user
honestly if you want steam games on macos your best bet is crossover

ah annoying... what do you think of GPTK or whatever
I have no idea what it is, but i am curious lol

gptk is great and it works really well on newer games
for epic games at least, it does a really mediocre job at running steam

ah damn i see... thanks, i'll look into it, do you have any resources i can look at for either Crossover or GPTK
