Grand Theft Auto 5 installation not found

GTA V previously worked flawlessly. I played it no more than a week ago. Now for the last couple of days when I launch from Heroic the Rockstar Games launcher seems to have forgotten that I own it and is unable to detect it. I followed the instructions in the FAQ and Github and nothing has changed. Heroic seems to be having trouble getting Epic and the RGL to communicate with each other.

Also an aside - I no longer seem to be able to pin Heroic to my taskbar. When I search for it, all I get is "Install Heroic" from Bazaar even though it's already installed Disregard. It seems to have resolved

you should not use the fix.bat alternative exe anymore, remove that, try again and share a new log if it still fails

Alright, it works now. Very strange considering the whole reason I used the fix.bat alternative exe was because I was running into this issue but I'll take it I suppose. Thank you for the help.

it was needed before, but it's not needed anymore since the last few releases of heroic
