Bad outer Surface quality with voids

I am suddenly experiencing print artifacts, that I have never seen before... it was all good up to this print, so I have no clue what could be causing it. I'll attach some photos, maybe someone knows what this could be. If you need any other info, let me know 😉

(I don't have a rat rig yet, I'm planning to get one in jan 2026) My guess is that something is "skipping a bit," and material wasn't deposited on those points I'd start by checking the Max Volumetric Speed in your filament profile and run a Max Flow Rate calibration from Orca, see what happens, and go from there

Could be z-offset or under extrusion. Look on youtube for Modbot for tuning material flow video as well for extrusion rotation.

Two guesses: 1) too much retraction or wet filament. If this happens shortly after the Z seam and mostly is only around the Z seam it is likely a bit of oozing during travel retraction and thats the printer working out the air bubble. (this would be solved by fine tuning retraction/speeding up travel/drying filament) 2) Your nozzle is traveling through those spots and the nozzle ooze (or nozzle itself) is scraping the outer wall in those spots. (This could be solved by enabling combing, make sure to retract while combing if moving more than 5mm imo, and setting travel moves to avoid outer walls)

@unlucio it might be skipping, but I didnt change anythink but added the Orbiter 2 Smart sensor... and I was printing perfectly fine before this with same slicer settings... @Teckgeek its definitly not Z-Offset or under extrusion... that looks completely different and would not show in random spots like that... also as I said I have printed with these settings a lot before... it started suddenly after adding the filament sensor I guess I was at the brink of extruder skipping and the sensor just added some friction that causes the extruder to skip... at least thats what I think is happening... @WrinklySackNick also I didnt change any retraction and my filament is sitting in a drybox and I turn on the dryer from time to time (polymaker polydryer)... also as you can see it has nothing to do with Z-seam aswell... its all over the outer walls in random spots (the nozzle does not even travel past these points, except when printing that wall its also nothing related to combing... it happens when printing the walls... while doing a straight move...
