TPM AND IOMMU ISSUE
hello after getting this error with tpm and iommu is needed
i do the steps and enable everything that is required
including ptt and vt-d
and then i get error "- an iommu restriction has been applied, however a system restart is required to complete initialization"
and while restarting i insta get a bsod with a message "- driver verifier dma violation" and cant boot into windows anymore 🙂 (fresh windows install)
i tried many actions including reinstalling vanguard (after bsod and iommu off since thats the only way i can boot into windows) reseting verifier in cmd installing fresh windows again, with chipset drivers,usb,gpu and i have the same issue.... it was never required and now i cant do anything... i go by instructions riot provides and i confirm that these security requirements are running but bsod happens every time that "an iommu restriction has been applied, however a system restart is required to complete initalization" happens, to be able to boot back into windows i need to disable iommu... and after that if iommu is on its just a loop of bsods , Z790 hero newest version of bios. (going by the meaning of the bsod i should have a driver that causes it but it doesn't make sense cause only drivers i install is my usb card and nvidia with chipset -.-)

have the exact same issue as well, same error even with VT-D on
also tried on stock bios settings

I have other people that has the same issue, for some reason vanguard flags account/pc and requires those security options but even if you do enable them, dma violation bsod happens .. Before having vanguard and valorant i would boot with iommu enabled so the issue is caused by the game and vanguard , this is needs to get fixed ASAP
So if you delete vanguard and valorant, you don’t get dma bsod ?

I was fine with iommu on
I managed to boot with iommu on after.. but since i was fixing it while having it off (only way to boot) i unistalled usb drivers vanguard everything not default and i managed boot into windows with iommu on, but after playing for 2mins i got the error again and had the same bsod again :catfacepalm:

Im also curious why would i get flagged on my accs? Like all i have is gpu drivers my asmedia usb drivers (external usb card) and my mic i keep my windows clean my apps are all portable and all for testing stability , i use my accounts only on one pc, i will provide every driver and sys file that is running if needed, but first bsod dumb file when i will be home.
also wondering the same, my games been working fine for the longest time and then all of a sudden i get van restriction. tried it on my alts (none of these are shared) and they all ended up with the same thing
There must be a vanguard detection issue that causes to flag accounts that shouldn't be flagged , even if somehow my asmedia usb card drivers or something else causes it to flag i shouldn't bsod just because i go by instructions riot provides, and i know for a fact that my system is running fine with all those security requirements before i launch vanguard and valorant.

so i booted into windows after i unistalled nvidia drivers
with iommu on so i think its nvidia/iommu/vanguard not working together
so i found out what is causing the issues its VANGUARD let me explain why, 1. Error happens>restart into bsod> i turn off iommu off> boot into windows >unistall nvidia drivers>i turn on iommu on>boot into windows again- everything works>i try to install nvidia drivers>voalia ! works nvidia and iommu on>i install vanguard again>i launch valorant> error happens and HERE WE GO WITH THE SAME BSOD and same error like before even tho i have iommu ON with other requirements. i double checked the sequence , this needs to be fixed @Rachel i hope it reaches right people since i wasted so much time for this. thank you. there is multiple people that i know has the same issue with the same bsod and error ,its not limited to one system.
I can confirm that I am suffering from the same issue as well, without Nvidia drivers I don't BSOD and I am able to get into the game as well
so we cant fix this shit error code

Hey, just wanted to say I am also experiencing the IOMMU restriction, however my PC won't allow me to enable IOMMU in my BIOS or else I get a BSOD upon boot up. Only way to boot up my computer normally is with it disabled, in which Valorant will give me a pop up mid game saying I need IOMMU enabled. Glad to know I'm not the only one experiencing this. I recently sent a ticket to Riot Support and they said that my restriction would expire in a month from now, but I'm uncertain if this means I will be able to play without IOMMU permanently. Just wanted to shed some light on the matter.
@Gamenwatch412 could you provide your riot id? and if possible go to c:\windows\memory.dmp or C: \windows\minidump and find the corresponding bsod dump and upload it for me?

And I've attached my dump file as well. I've already tried interpreting it, and it's not so helpful in finding the root cause.
The Riot Support person who responded to me said so, I've attached what they told me.

ok looked at the dump, in your case it's related to rtwlane601.sys, try disabling realtek wifi and see if it can help you boot with iommu
HVCI restriction is not new, that just requires enabling memory integrity

and now i just black screen and crash

Oh my god, that did it. Just rebooted with IOMMU on. Thank you so much! I was going crazy over what was affecting my boot up for days. I really appreciate your help 🙂

can u use default ISO not server ones
unless you need it for your work then you can not play val on it as it is not supported

Guys do your error logs point to the Graphics? I thought my graphics card broke and changed one for that but the logs should just be caused by vanguard or something right?
You changed your gpu because of this bsod/error? Can we have a compensation for this man

Or just make sure to post a notice on the client next time when similar glitches occurs
They are not easy to spot and since there is many systems with different configurations it takes time.. but riot gun buddy would be great if you find something major that effects player base 😉😉

There is still this problem, but like once every 2 hours
At least we can play normally for most of the time
When I dont do anything with the game opened for like 2-3 minutes the bsod and shut down still happens... but its much better in game

Seems like the issue for peoole who are flagged persist then.
Disable iommu and contact @ItsGamerDoc or create a ticket with explanation.
