Crash on world load
Crash log included with all mods and info, not particularly sure of why as I have not touched this in 3-4 months and nothing has changed with the mod list, shaders, resource packs, ect. Also included is 2 addition logs with different memory amounts.

those are not the crash logs. the crash logs are located in .minecraft/crash_logs
This is from the Prism integrated log thing
The important stuff is there at the bottom of the logs
it looks like your gpu ran out of vram
It has 12 GB how on earth

That spike is when I loaded the world
i have 2 more ideas:
try running without mods and if that works try finding the one thats the issue
upload the real crash report. maybe there is more info
It was DH causing the crash
:toothless_rolleyes:
are you running an outdated version of it?
oh dear god

maybe
yeah, try updating
You're on 2.3.0, you should 100% update
Still crashes
Even after updating to the most current version
try deleting the dh config file
the toml file?
yeah in .minecraft/config
Ok
🤞
:toothless_unimpressed:
It did not work
ok, can you send me the crash report?
And this time it caused Discord to shoot itself
hm, there is also this error:
[15:59:49] [ForkJoinPool-1-worker-20/WARN]: Mod com_github_jncrmx_discord-game-sdk4j uses the version 5cdac341e3 which isn't compatible with Loader's extended semantic version format (Could not parse version number component '5cdac341e3'!), SemVer is recommended for reliably evaluating dependencies and prioritizing newer version
I will update the Discord Presence mod and see if this resolves
how much memory did you allocate again? try putting it to 6 or 8 (most stable for me)
For these most recent tests it has been set to 4
ok
nvm
forget that
Q: My game is crashing, help!
A: Here are some general debugging steps:
1. Try running Distant Horizons by itself
- to check for mod compatibility issues
2. If you have any world generator mods try setting the generator mode to
surface or disabling the distant generator in DH's config
- this can fix issues where certain structures don't like being generated in a multithreaded way.
3. Install the latest drivers for your GPU
4. Lower your settings and/or set a frame rate limit
- Distant Horizons has a way of uncovering hardware instabilities, so reducing your hardware load may help.
5. Delete your DH config file to recreate it
- The normal path is: .minecraft\config\DistantHorizons.toml
6. Use the official Minecraft launcher
- IE, don't use the clients like Feather, Lunar, Etc.
- If you don't like the vanilla launcher Prisim is a good 3rd party launcher.
7. Re-download/install DH
8. Re-install your Minecraft instance/profile
- IE reinstall forge/fabric
9. If all else fails, open an issue on GitLab or ask for help in the #help-me channel on our Discord.Prism Launcher - Home
An Open Source Minecraft launcher with the ability to manage multiple instances, accounts and mods. Focused on user freedom and free redistributability.
It's just DH
Out of all of the mods I have DH is the only one I have enabled an it just crashed with only it

Incredible
can you try all those other possible solutions?
I have tried all, so I think I will chock this one up to Java being highly annoying
sorry i cant really help
If only it wasn't java being java
I set render to 20 and it just crashed
Do you have any custom jvm flags
and what jre/jdk do you have selected

21
try allocating 8gb of ram
or try installing the jre through prism
8GB did not work
What is jre in this case?
jdk but without the development part
Ok
Where would I find it

click the download button

your prism is quite outdated
I see
hmmm

this is for custom java versions installed through prism
Nmd
click download
then you can select the jre
I've gone through 21.0.7, 17, 16, and 8. Still nothing
Did you select it for the instance?
Yes
and only 21 is gonna work
Yes
:toothless_annoyed:
I am not sure then
what is the crash when you use a jre from prism and only DH?
apologies, i had to go eat
it runs out of memory
odd isnt it?
very
hmm
did you try creating a new instance?
also I think its not using the correct java
did you change the java version inside the instance here?

yes
click auto detect and then select the one you downloaded
can you send a screenshot of it?

expand the window to the right

select the bottom most one
Goes for a little bit then crashed in 2 seconds
Like literaly 2 seconds after loading into the world

:toothless_grumpy:
Fresh instance is holding fine though
then your instance is cursed
This is just...
:toothless_why:
