I can't run Fortnite

Fortnite does not support operating systems other than Windows. This is a deliberate decision made by the game publishers, there's nothing we can do about it.
The only way you can play this game on these OSs is through cloud gaming (GeForce NOW / Amazon Luna / etc.)

No, the game won't work at all

also, VrChat has the same anticheat, and yet, I can play it on Linux just fine

to clarify one thing, the game itself will run, but you won't be able to play, the anticheat won't let you
you may even get to start a match and everything but you cannot play fornite on linux
i clarify that because some people think they are

Hello, I downloaded this launcher because the Epic Games Launcher is broken for me and it's not working. As soon as I downloaded it, I started experiencing crashes when I claim battle pass rewards and gifts, and when I enter the game and want to change my hero's bag or any other accessories, Fortnite immediately crashes. Please help.

How to fix this
If all you did with Heroic was importing the game from the EGL & running it, Heroic has not altered your game files and these issues cannot be caused by it.
If you update Fortnite using Heroic, you might end up with broken files (I understand it might be an issue with SDL tags, which is a feature really only used by Fortnite); to avoid that, update using the EGL and launch using Heroic (or just use the EGL if all you want to do is play Fortnite)
Other than that, please open your own thread

In short, the problem won't be solved, fuck it.
Heroic is open-source, you're welcome to implement a fix yourself. We're all volunteers with our own priorities
