I made this fanart around 3 years ago ! And today I gave it a makeover with my current skill level :3 what do you guys think?š«¶

Iām very new to digital art I was wondering How do you get the shadows to blend out so nicely
I use the light carving method
Put a multiply layer with the tone of the shadow u want , I went with a warm gray here , then I carved out the lighting
Blended the edges I wanted to be smooth
Kept some of them sharp
Then I used another overlay layer to show a little bit of light dispersion, and went over with an air brush over the edges of the light
For the harsh light I used the add layer mode , and another overlay and soft light layer for the hazy light effect
Dayyyuuuumm talk about improvement! W redraw, excellent work š
