Make sure you're not running them off an ntfs partiton.
how i know that is a ntfs partion?
ntfs is the windows standard filesystem, so if you're running them from a windows partition, it's ntfs. You can check it in the disks application.
its a ntfs, theres some way to fix that or its just formating it?
Either format it, or copy or install the game to the partition you installed bazzite to. If you're not dual booting with windows you should format it. If you copy, only copy the game folder over and then install to the folder you copied to.
im dual booting with windows
Before I removed windows, I just divided my games drive in 2. There's not a fully reliable way to share a partition between windows and linux for gaming.
You can shrink the NTFS partition and then create a new ext4 or btrfs partition
you can copy the files from NTFS to the new one and then point steam at them and tell it to verify - that'll save you some download
like, i have 2 ssd, one with only windows, and another one with a partion for bazzite and another thats all my games are in
Just make sure you don't copy over the compdata folder if you do. The files in that are corrupted because they're incompatible with ntfs.
so i just have to move the common?
If you have room on your bazzite partition, just remove the ntfs library from steam and install/copy games to that.
ok, thanks for the help 😄
