How to always load original but only for 360 content?
As 360 images look blurry with the same resolution regular image previews are looking great and I found no quality difference setting anywhere I wondered how I can force loading the original for just those images and videos?
Furthermore 3603D images are not rendered properly without the metadata, just 3602D works there. 3603D only works with the originals (a bug for sure but another reason I need to always load the originals)...

In order to be able to effectively help you, we need you to provide clear information to show what the problem is. The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider:

On mobile yes, in the web version they are officially fully supported. (fully to the extent of what the library they use for it allows for - e.g. anaglyph mode for 3D or VR mode for Cardboard etc. are part of the library and therefore of Immich)

@Immich As we can't upload anything to the Demo it would be great if you could add some 360 images and videos in 2D and 3D to it as both are supported on the web (or do you only include stuff that works on both web and app in the demo instance?)
@F4mouZSt4r The issue is, that 360 images need at least 8K to not look blurry as you always just look at small part of the image, but the full image needs to be loaded to be shown (at least in Immichs current implementation).
E.g. look at that, I always need to zoom in a lot and zoom out again to trigger loeading the real image (sometimes resetting my view so I need to look around again):
So back to my question, is there someone that does know any setting or configuration trick (that does not involve hacky stuff like replacing previews via script effectively duplicating my library) 🙁
I mean a Violentmonkey script should do the trick but I had hopes for a more native solution...especially as those addons are not well supported on mobile and using the web version on mobile is currently the only way to go for me as the app does not support 360.
Anyone else an idea?
This is simply not possible in 'normal' immich no
:/ what are the chances this makes it into the product when reporting it as a bug (since it kinda is as the 360 images are already zoomed in when equirectangular is unwrapped - a regular image would have been loaded as the original already if you would only look at ⅒ of the image...)
I'm not saying never, just that this is low on the prio list 👀
