Sync is not working, even after a full fresh start
1. I synced my entire lib with immich CLI
2. I installed the mobile app and let it hash everything until it said it is complete, and I restarted the app a couple times to verify this (it always falls back to lesser hashed items but then quickly goes to "complete")
3. I then enabled (beta timeline) backup for the folder I had synced with CLI
4. It then said I have only 15 items backed up (false: all items are backed up minus a few new)
5. It never started back up. View details is empty, the cloud has a checkmark saying it is complete
6. After a while waiting... it started backing up everything again, each and every already backed up photo and movie
So, I can scratch everything again
(Probably, it creates a different hash from the items on the mobile because those are not all on the iPhone, as the iPhone of course has not space for 80GB of pics. But that is just an assumption)

In order to be able to effectively help you, we need you to provide clear information to show what the problem is. The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider:
- Your docker-compose.yml and .env files.
- Logs from all the containers and their status (see above).
- All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
- Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system.
- Details about your system (both software/OS and hardware).
- Details about your storage (filesystems, type of disks, output of commands like fdisk -l and df -h).
- The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces.
- Any other information that you think might be relevant.
Please paste files and logs with proper code formatting, and especially avoid blurry screenshots.

Successfully submitted, a tag has been added to inform contributors. :white_check_mark:Logs and screenshots after it then started backing up things that are already in the remote server:
- we can see how it now duplicates every item that is there already 😡
- we can see lots of failures (though I am not sure what the failure is, it does not really say)
- logs attached
If the files are being uploaded+displayed on the server, that means they are not byte-identical duplicates
So somehow the way you uploaded from the CLI likely they are slightly modified EXIF data or headers
well, all I know is that none of the import mechanisms do work at this point (after a week trying every single option)
I am not aware of any changes made to files by osxphotos which is the tool I used to export files from the library so immich cli can upload them... but of course, possible.
At this point is all I know... I am out of ideas.
- mobile sync does not work on the library. We have had that in other threads. It just fails for several reasons
- immich-go can't see most of the meta data in files, thus making it not useful for an import
- immich CLI (or osxpohotos, used to export the files from library) apparently also messes with files... so I am truly out of ideas.
One I am sure of: I can delete everything again 😢
can I ask, do I need to wait for the mobile app hashing job to finish before I enable album backup/sync?
