installing usb_modeswitch

Hi there, I need to install usb_modeswitch in order to get my racing wheel working. My Logitech G923 requires signals to be sent to change its usb mode every time it is plugged in. I have done this successfully on other distros by installing usb_modeswitch and I just tried to do it in Bazzite with an RPM, but got an error message. Please help me get this installed.

I don't think it is working properly, because usually when that command is executed, the wheel resets (this is my experience on other distros)

i'm not sure how you'd determine those yeah it ain't finding it it seems is it one of those things where it acts like a flash drive initially until you install the driver & the driver switches it to the correct mode but this is just an annoyence on Linux since it already has the driver

AFAIK the driver was added to the LInux kernel some years ago for this specific wheel apparently it has very specific drivers because it uses the HID++ protocol unlike almost all other Logitech wheels well it worked now for some reason I used 01 instead of 81 at the end of the line case closed. time to do some racing thank you very much @nagito || Knight of Emilia for assisting 🙂

at least it uses some standard some devices don't
