Keyboard and mouse not working during install

So with the looming forced windows 11 update I decided to go Linux. I've seen several youtubers using Bazzite with great results. So I've downloaded the iso and used Rufus to create a USB installer. However when the installer loads I cannot use my mouse or keyboard to do anything. Both work in Windows, the BIOS, and on the live boot of PoP OS. I'm using a Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6650 XT, 32 Gigs of Ram on a Gigabyte A520M S2H motherboard.
Solution:
Okay, seems I got it fixed. Had to unplug and plug both back in twice. Sadly I cannot fully go through the install at this moment because I still need Windows for a few minor things. I'll be buying a new SSD in a few weeks just for Linux so I can switch between the two.

Keyboard and mouse are plugged directly into the motherboard as well if that's relevant.

I had the same problem a couple of years ago... turns out libinput didn't understand the proprietary RGB stuff that the keyboard / mouse were sending out, so it just did nothing... I had to plug in a cheap ass USB keyboard and mouse to install, then in the OS, the non-free drivers were loaded in and it all worked fine after that
