Uninstall system packages

Hey, To uninstall, say, sunshine or waydroid, how would I go about it? Or any system package actually

You don't, the base system is read only and distributed as a whole

Yeah but say I'm looking to uninstall some, custom images are the only way?

If you want to install system packages, you can layer them or try other methods like brew, distrobox container etc. oh mb, yea if you want to uninstall use custom image

custom image is the only way uninstalling them will use more storage space on your drive, not less because they are part of the base image the better option is to just leave them alone

the base image still contains the files and you add a new layer that contains instructions on how to remove them meaning: more storage used not less

That is if you make it a new layer but a fork is like a new image

if you create a custom image in github then it won't, yes
